The Benefits of Working Out with Your Partner

    Saturday, September 12th, 2009

Do you want to stay healthy but you cannot even manage your time properly? Then, why not work out with your partner? This way, you can cross out “work out” and “quality time with partner” from your to-do list at the same time. Quality time together and better time management are just two of the benefits of working out together. Here are some more.

    Change of routine

If you two are tired of the usual dates, going to the gym together may provide a much-needed change. You will break the monotony in your relationship, while introducing something that can be both fun and healthy.

    Healthy lifestyle

Working out together could be the beginning of a healthy lifestyle for both of you. This is good because you may both save each other from heartbreak by avoiding diseases caused by stress and sedentary lifestyles.

    Motivation

When you work out with your partner, you have someone to encourage you to pursue your goals at the gym. This can keep you going.

    Safety

Your partner can also spot for you if you are doing a gym exercise that requires equipment. Someone who cares for you will also be immediately at your side, in case of emergencies.

He Wants Kids, You Don’t: What Do You Do?

    Thursday, September 10th, 2009

Having children is an important and serious decision. Wanting or not wanting children is a serious stand. So, if you and your partner are at opposing ends of the issue, your relationship can be seriously tested.

    Are you sure?

Before you do or say anything drastic, do some soul-searching. Don’t you want to have kids of your own? What if it was just a phase and you actually secretly want kids?

    Have you been honest?

Have you told your partner that you do not want to have kids at all? Have you, at some point, lied about it? Then, it is time to be in the clear and tell your partner that you are not planning to have any kids. If you have been honest about your feelings, maybe it is your partner who is really hoping that you are going to change your mind. Be frank with him: tell him that your decision is final.

Are you ready for the ultimatum?

Again, are you sure you don’t want kids? If you are, then it is probably fair to talk it out with your partner. If he is willing to sacrifice, you can stay together. If he really wants kids, who are you to stop him? Let him go. Find someone who wants a child-free relationship like you.

Finding Quality Time with Your Partner Even during the Peak of Your Careers

    Tuesday, September 8th, 2009

If you’re married or simply dating someone, quality time should be valued greatly in a relationship. So even with blossoming careers making things more difficult, you and your partner should find that time for each other. If you are living together, this does not mean that you will just be staying in one space together. You have to do something together that makes that moment a special bonding one.

    Go on dates regularly.

Even if you are married with children, you two also need time alone. This is to make sure that your romance does not fizzle. You can be responsible parents or spouses without becoming boring to one another.

Find a hobby you can do together.

You can enjoy your free time with a hobby you both enjoy. If you are fitness buffs, you can go to the gym. The hobby can also be something as quiet and “ordinary” as watching movie marathons together.

    Talk about your schedules.

Because you are both at the peak of your careers, you need to talk about schedules. You can find gaps in your work schedules where you can spend quality time together without sacrificing your careers.

Five Easy Ways to Surprise Your Husband

    Sunday, September 6th, 2009

To keep your marriage fun and romantic, a few surprises here and there will definitely help. Here are some ways of surprising your husband — pleasantly of course.

    1. Take him on a date to do something he likes.

Does he want to watch that new action movie? Do you think he would want to go to a comic convention? Take him up on his preference and make it a date. He will be surprised that you are not dragging him to a chick flick.

    2. Treat him to a massage.

After a long day at work, a massage may be all that he is wishing for. Offer him a calming massage with oils, candlelight, and the works. If you think you will not be able to soothe his aching limbs, schedule a weekend at the spa for both of you.

    3. Wear something sexy.

Spice up your marriage with a sexy outfit that you’ve bought especially for him. It may be a sexy date outfit or something that you will be wearing for him in private. This might even lead to a little sex chat and foreplay, which will lead you guys in the right direction of course!

    4. Buy him a gift.

Buy your husband a gift even when there is no occasion. The gift could be something he has always wanted or it could be just anything that you know will please him. Of course, some sex toys you could use together wouldn’t be a bad idea either!

    5. Write him a love note.

With text messages making communication easier, a love note is rare and doubly romantic. Leave him a handwritten note to find in your house.

How Do You Know if You’re Coming on Too Strong in Your Relationship

    Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

When in a new relationship, it is understandable to be just a tad excited. However, note that some actions are deal-breakers instead of deal-sealers. Here are just some of the clues as to whether or not you are coming on too strong in your relationship.

    Too much contact

If you do not have a clear arrangement yet, do not invite your boyfriend or girlfriend to dinners or movie dates frequently. Do not call him or her every other hour. Absolutely resist the urge to find out where your boyfriend is throughout the day. Take it slow. Get to know each other better first.

    Getting physical too soon

Now whether you are a man or a woman, your other half may look at you in distaste if you keep on pushing for a more physical relationship right at the beginning. You may find out though that someone who refuses in the early stages may just be the sort of person you end up respecting. No matter what, keep the lewd jokes and unnecessary touchy-feeliness in check.

Planning the future together during the early stages

Yes, you have been to a couple of dates, but that does not mean that you two are going to get married soon. So, try not to drop hints about marriage. Do not ever demand marriage. Make your relationship flow a natural course.

How to Make Your Man Listen More without Yelling

    Sunday, August 30th, 2009

Yelling will just make your man hear you but he won’t be listening. So, it is better to find ways that will make him see your side instead of just see you as the enemy. The best thing you can do is act in a civilized manner. Write him a short note, inviting him for a talk. You may even invite him on a date, your treat. This way, he will come willingly to hear you out. When it is time to talk, do not take advantage of the moment to nag. Air your feelings. Make sure you give him a chance to speak as well. This way, the next time you two will have a heart-to-heart talk, he won’t be terrified to take you up on your invitation. If your very problem is to get him to look at you at all, much less listen, wait patiently for his free time. For example, if he is with friends watching a game on tv, do not demand to talk to him at that very moment. Instead, politely ask him to reserve time after the game for you.

Confronting Your Fears about a Cheating Partner

    Saturday, August 22nd, 2009

It is a dark time when you suspect your partner of cheating. Your emotions are in conflict and you feel like you are in a limbo. If you confront him and he is guilty, how will you react? If you accuse him and he is innocent, how will he take things? However, if you keep quiet, this burden of suspicion will make your relationship unhappy – at least on your side.

    Confirm your suspicions first

Before you make unfounded accusations, confirm that your partner is cheating. Talk to a trusted friend about the signs you have been getting. Is he or she taking a lot of mysterious phone calls? Are they online until late in the evening, maybe engaging in adult chat with others? Sometimes you need someone who is detached from the situation to tell you if you are just being paranoid – or not. Better yet, try to find some strong evidence. There is no need to hire a private investigator; that will just show you at your suspicious worst.

    Confront your partner

If your partner is proved to be cheating, talk to him calmly. If he wants to stay with you, the state of your relationship depends on you. If you cannot endure a relationship with a cheater, you can let go. If you want to give him another chance, then give him an ultimatum.

Talking about Past Relationships with Your Partner

    Sunday, August 16th, 2009

A relationship built on trust is essential to long term success. And in all the years I’ve been providing sex advice, this is the issue that so frequently seems to stall or kill the fire in a relationship. So when beginning something new, you should get rid of the old completely. Sometimes, however, this can be done by talking about past relationships with your new partner. Your partner may ask or you may choose to talk about it. Remember though that the past should remain in the past. So, do not talk about your ex too much; your partner may feel that he is in a competition for your affection. Talking about past relationships is just about sharing, but not about obsessing. After that short talk, do not ever mention your ex again.

Do not back-bite your ex. This can be viewed by your new partner as immature. It may even scare him away or make him jealous because you still sound bitter about the breakup. Do not praise your ex as if he was some sort of god, either. This can make your new partner very suspicious and insecure. If you catch yourself doing this, try to see if you are actually on the rebound – maybe you still love your ex and are being unfair to your new partner. In short, you should be honest but detached.

How to Make Your Anniversary Extra Special

    Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

Usually when guys think of what a girl wants for their anniversary, they think that she just wants some bling. Little do they know that not all women are equating anniversaries to pricey gifts and upscale restaurants. Women just want their men to treat the day special. As for the ladies, they should not take their men for granted, either. Some men can be quite the sensitive type. In fact, the role can be reverse in some relationships.

    The perfect gift

While you don’t have to give your man a BMW, you should not be cheap either. Think of an unusual anniversary gift. Men have already been bombarded with socks, ties and the like. Buy your man something that will make him feel special. An original gift or keepsake can make your man enjoy the celebration much better. Why not try creating your anniversary gift for him? If you are not the DIY crafts girl, you can have something engraved for him.

    The perfect look

Dress appropriately. Show that you are making an effort to make the day feel and look special.

How Important is Sexual Chemistry in a Relationship?

    Friday, July 31st, 2009

Your heart beats faster, your irises gets dilated. His gaze, and his chest, are continually centered upon you. Is this just lust or something else? Sexual chemistry just doesn’t come in when you two hit the sack and blow each other’s minds apart with bedroom antics; it actually oozes from your pores, goes up through your nose, and into your brains. Some say it’s fate while others blame nature for it. While a relationship shouldn’t just be based on how good your partner is in bed, how important is sexual chemistry really?

Sexual chemistry as something very important

Those who hook up with their friends and find the sex great stay on to have meaningful relationships. However, those who had crap sex usually just try hard to forget anything happened. Sexual chemistry is one of the foundations of a relationship. We are biologically inclined to find the best mate that matches us and if the sex just ain’t that happening, then it’s also against nature to stay in a relationship with that person.

However, if you started out with great compatibility and then find it waning, this doesn’t mean that you should jump ship and wait for the next guy who smells better. There are ways to rekindle that fire between the sheets through creativity and sometimes with the help of adult toys.
